The 14-Minute Dive
(Fact Records - 2000)
A hard-working underground band in Israel that was very active in the scene and went for maximum raw energy in concerts. They released many demos and this EP, but nothing beyond that. Their approach is raw, energetic and somewhat sloppy (kinda like Venom) thrash-punk-death, or in other words, in your face thrash metal sped up and played with a bit of a hard punk attitude so that it sounds often like slightly blackened death metal. This they call 'Damage Metal. It's like early Slayer, only primitive and sloppy, and with a hoarse raspy vocalist that could use a lot more oomph in his delivery. I'm not a fan of this sound, and the album is short.
